Black Lives Matter and Climate Justice – Statement of Solidarity

We at Living Roots stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and Climate Justice, and recognise racism as a highly corrosive and chronic dynamic in our societies. We will continue (to seek) to address structural racism within our own organisation, to inform and educate ourselves and to process unconscious bias, privilege, oppression and internalised oppression in the context of social and environmental justice and love, in all of our facilitation with individuals and communities.

“ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN FREE AND EQUAL IN DIGNITY AND RIGHTS.” YET, WHEN IT COMES TO THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE, THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT CHRONIC INJUSTICE AND THE CORROSION OF HUMAN RIGHTS.”

- Mary Robinson

Embracing diversity is at the heart of our work

The work we do is useful to anyone interested in creative and transformative work with diverse groups and issues, as well as the inquiry and development of the skills and attitudes necessary to facilitate the complex experiences that arise in today’s world.

“YOU ARE NEVER TOO SMALL TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.”

- Gretta Thunberg (environmental activist)

The more complex the network is, the more complex its pattern of interconnections, the more resilient it will be.”

Fritjof Capra
